How to Earn Online Money With Article Marketing

Perhaps you’ve heard of article marketing. Maybe you’ve heard of SEO, meta tags, optimized results, etc..
Let me tell you now - Article marketing is real and can be profitable when executed correctly. This is how it works.
The goal of article marketing is to generate large amounts of traffic. The next goal is to then monetize this traffic, by directing that traffic to either your own domain(landing page) or direct linking to your affiliate’s landing page.
By directing that traffic to one of those two options, you must convert those visitors into buyers. You must monetize that traffic by turning those people into customers. Now, how do we accomplish this?
In essence, article marketing is exactly what it sounds like. You write an article. You submit that article to one of the major article directories. You slip a link into that article, usually at the end. The goal is for people to see your article, read it and click your link. Sounds pretty simple, right?
Now a lot of you might have questions at this point. What do I write about? Who do I submit to? What kind of link to I insert? What are optimized results, etc…Geez, it’s enough to give you a headache. So let’s take it from the beginning.
When ANYBODY types something into Google, they get results. The ranking of those results is a combination of several things - Google Page Rank(important), keyword relevance, and result optimization. What are these things? Let’s take them in order:
- Google Page Rank - Self-explanatory. Namely, the ranking value Google gives that website. Youtube, Digg, EzineArticles, and Myspace all have GREAT page rankings. So if you can get your content on those websites, you have a greater chance of being on the first page of Google’s search results.
- Keyword Relevance - Also pretty self-explanatory. Namely, how relevant the keyword typed into Google is to your page. If your page is about “how to regrow hair”, and some RANDOM person types “regrow hair” into Google, you stand a GOOD chance of ranking high on the page results because there is RELEVANCE between the two. In other words, they RELATE to each other, and above all else, that is WHAT GOOGLE WANTS. If you remember nothing else from this crappy article, remember that.
- Optimized Results - Now this is where SEO(Search Engine Optimization) comes in. In short, there is an entire INDUSTRY devoted and dedicated to the art of manipulating Google to be #1 on their search results. That is the end-goal. Be the FIRST search results a user sees after they type something into Google. Now, if you achieve this goal, AND if this search term has HIGH VOLUME, that means HUGE TRAFFIC FOR YOUR WEBSITE!!!! There are literally volumes written about Search Engine Optimization online. Suffice it to say, if you are designing a webpage, you want to know everything about the search engines in order to RANK HIGH on their results page.
So what have we learned? We want to write an article targeting high volume keywords that will come up as #1 on Google’s search results. That is the ultimate goal. If you accomplish this, you have won half the battle. You will get HUGE AMOUNTS OF TRAFFIC. And the best part is, IT’S ALL FREE. This is how you earn online money, and how you earn lots of it!!
The second part of the battle is monetizing that traffic. In other words, convert that traffic into DOLLARS, MONEY, $$$$, etc..
I don’t have enough time to go indepth into both of these topics, so I will give you a general overview of how to accomplish this goal.
Now here are two huge tips that I should probably be charging for.

2. HOW TO DETERMINE SEARCH RESULTS COMPETITION
Plug that keyword into Google, surrounded by quotes on either side. (Example: Let’s say the high volume keyword you’re targeting is “how to win friends”. You would type “how to win friends” in quotes into Google.)
You will see this in the top right corner:
Results 1-10 of about 643,000 for “how to win friends”. Now take careful note.
643,000 is the number of Optimized Results. In other words, there are 643,000 pages TARGETING that keyword. WAY, WAY, WAY TOO MUCH COMPETITION. Go back to the drawing board. Back to Google Trends.
